The Office of Management and Budget is working with federal agencies to establish an annual assessment of progress on each agency’s strategic objectives as a part of implementation of the GPRA Modernization Act. The strategic objective annual review will help agencies to identify how to improve program outcomes and look at opportunities for productivity gains using a variety of analytical, research, and evaluation methods to support the assessment. The results of these reviews should inform many of the decision-making processes at the agency, as well as decision-making by the agency’s stakeholders. This presentation will discuss strategic objective annual review efforts and how these reviews could inform agency policy, budget, and management decisions.
