Although the Bloom, Hill & Riccio (2003) approach uses a multilevel modeling approach, the meta-analytic approach is another common way of exploring how program features associate with program outcomes. This presentation will discuss the similarities and differences of the multilevel and meta-analytic ways of looking at cross-site variation and consider how the field is poised to embrace them as useful tools for answering important policy questions.
