Airbnb has been viewed as mitigate class inequality. To test this assumption, this study aims to find the main social class who use Airbnb and their main motivations. Using the data from European Union Horizon 2020 Research Project on the sharing economy, this study will reveal the relationship between three types of capital - physical, human, and social - and user participation in home-sharing services through logistic regression analysis. People with higher capital are expected to participate more in home-sharing services but their participation will decline at a certain point. If most participants possess higher capital, Airbnb may not reduce class inequality.
