Panelists will discuss perspectives about 1) why closing the racial wealth gap is a priority for national security (informed by recent data from National Asset Scorecard in Communities of Color); 2) the causes and consequences of persistent residential segregation and the potential of place-based policy to address spatial mismatch and create job growth in depressed areas; 3) (anticipated) impacts of Promise Zones as strategy to target urban poverty.
