Panelists will discuss perspectives about the economic and social impacts of crime and mass incarceration, with particular attention on why so many black Americans are in prison. This will highlight 1) the efficacy of academic and behavioral interventions with disadvantaged youth to prevent the early antecedents to criminal involvement; 2) policing racial bias (& stereotype/prejudice/stigma & recent research on micro-aggressions).
