This paper discusses the relationship between China and the Korean Peninsula with respect to the One Belt, One Road policy strategy. China has borders with the Korean peninsula on both the north and side sides, both with close economic, cultural, geographical, climatic, and of course regional commonalities, interests, differences, and more. The commonalities and differences present a hybrid system of complex relationships that entangle and disentangle the regional dynamics. China's One Belt, One Road strategy is hoped to build more bridges and promote the sustainability in economic, social, cultural, and political relationships in the region. China's 1.2 billion population with Beijing and Shanghai being among the giant cities are entangled with Seoul as another giant city, plus more if we add Tokyo, the challenges will increase with time, but so do the technological, economic, and political co-existence and cooperation opportunities; all will help enhance the governance and management of the giant cities mentioned above. This paper presents empirical quantitative data with trend and longitudinal analysis and cases that may benefit as a model the other parts of the world.
