Conferences often come at a time when students may not have a completed paper that they feel prepared to present or in the middle of a student’s data collection. However, it is great to get feedback during the research process when things are a bit messy. In light of this, this APPAM Community will serve PhD students of color who are ABD and studying topics related to poverty or inequality in the United States. This group is intended to help students develop their ideas through peer-mentorship. Students will be given time to present their ideas, in any state, and will receive meaningful feedback. This group seeks to not only stimulate research ideas through peer feedback, but also build community across PhDs of color studying topics related to poverty or inequality in the United States.
